A veteran of the Winnipeg theatre community, Sharon has been creating theatre across Canada for over 25 years. Sharon was Director-in-Residence at Rainbow Stage in 2014 and has taught at the Rainbow’s Actor’s Intensive for the past 3 years. Sharon was in the original production of Strike! directed by Ann Hodges in 2005. She also proudly served as the President of ACTRA Manitoba from 2004-2007. Jesse started playing the violin since the age of 3 and has been fiddling around ever since. Jesse’s performances have taken him across Canada and internationally, playing with artists including Ben Vereen, Jann Arden, Ben Harper, Barrage, and David Rogers. Jesse is currently an active member of the Stacey Kay Band with whom he performed on season 10 of America’s Got Talent. Jesse has performed in top theatres across the country including The Stratford Festival, Drayton Entertainment, The Grand Theatre and is a recurring cast member at the Victoria Playhouse Petrolia as a violinist, singer, actor and dancer. Jesse is thrilled to return to Rainbow Stage this summer. Previous Rainbow credits include Ring of Fire, South Pacific, Little Shop of Horrors and Mamma Mia!
Stephanie (SAM) Manchulenko
Sam is grateful to be choreographing again for Rainbow Stage after a joy filled experience with last summer’s Beauty and the Beast. Select performance credits include Sheila in A Chorus Line, Mary Poppins, West Side Story, Chicago and Joseph (Rainbow Stage); Guys and Dolls and White Christmas (RMTC) and two seasons with the Charlottetown Festival. Select film credits include Suicide Squad, and Shall We Dance. She has choreographed for Talk is Free Theatre in Ontario (Napoleon, Bye Bye Birdie, Emily), Celebrations, Chai Folk Ensemble, the Confederation Center Young Company in Charlottetown and was assistant choreographer for Shrek the Musical (Rainbow Stage). Set & Properties Design
Douglas has been the Design Coordinator for the Stratford Shakespeare Festival for 22 seasons with over 30 production design credits, as well as The Magician’s Nephew and Stephen Fry’s Mythos for the Shaw Festival. Select Director of Design credits include: the 2014-19 Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show, the Opening and Closing ceremonies for the Arab Games and the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar, the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics Opening, Medals, and Closing Ceremonies, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the Men’s World Handball Championships, and David Atkins Enterprises (the Americas). Over the past 35 years Doug has designed for television, theatre, film and touring productions and has created hundreds of productions for regional theatres across Canada, the United States, and Europe.
Scott is excited to be at Rainbow Stage for the summer of 2019. Now in his 20th season designing for Rainbow, Scott has lit 30 Rainbow Stage productions. Most recently, he designed the lighting for the RMTC productions of John and The Cottage, as well as Kiss of the Spiderwoman for Dry Cold. Scott received a Lifetime Achievement Award for Lighting Design at the 2018 Evie Awards. He is grateful to have had several opportunities to work with the late Evelyn Anderson, one of the best performers on this or any other stage. Scott is a member of the Associated Designers of Canada and IATSE Local 63 and a graduate of Ryerson Theatre School. Special thanks to Karen, Sean and Alex for their love and support.

Emily Porter is an ADC sound designer/engineer who has worked on theatrical projects across Canada and the US. She is the owner of Dual Audio Services. Some of her other favourite theatre credits include Matilda and Shakespeare In Love (RMTC and Citadel), Once (Citadel), Bridges of Madison County (Dry Cold), Mary Poppins, The Last Resort and The Drowsy Chaperone (Globe Theatre), How The Heavens Go and The Brink (PTE), as well as 19 productions with Manitoba Opera and 7 trips around rural Manitoba with RMTC’s Regional Tour. Ksenia is glad to spend a fifth season at Rainbow! Here she designed sets and costumes for Ring of Fire and Breaking Up is Hard to Do, and apprenticed on 4 productions. She is a member of the Associated Designers of Canada, a graduate of the University of Alberta and University of Winnipeg, and trained from Stratford to Banff. This season Ksenia designed for Magnus Theatre, WJT, WCD, WST/ViC, RMTC’s lawyer show, and the Edmonton Fringe. Coming up: teaching at Theatre Alberta’s Artstrek, designing at Chemainus Theatre Festival, and assisting at RMTC. With her background in musical theatre and dance, Ksenia always loves working on a musical! Thanks to my parents for their support, Scott for his mentorship, and Carson for having me back.

Ryan is jazzed to be back at Rainbow Stage this summer as an ASM! Ryan worked as an apprentice for Little Shop of Horrors and Beauty and the Beast. Since last summer, Ryan has stage managed After Jerusalem, Intimate Apparel and Becoming Dr. Ruth with WJT, and was the ASM for The RWB’s Wizard of Oz and Nutcracker. He’s previously worked as an apprentice with RMTC and Manitoba Opera. He trained with the Black Hole Theatre Company at the University of Manitoba. Ryan would like to thank all the stage managers he’s worked with as an apprentice; without their continuing guidance and support, he wouldn’t be here. Apprentice Stage Manager
Katie Schmidt is a graduate of the U of W Theatre and Film program. Musicals have always been a passion of hers and she is super excited to be working with Rainbow Stage on Strike! The Musical. Recent Apprentice Stage Manager credits include A Doll’s House (RMTC), Still/Falling Tour (MTYP), and Sense and Sensibility (RMTC). While she loves stage managing, you can usually find Katie behind her sewing machine, building props, or binge-watching the newest comic-book-turned-tv-show and cuddling with her cat.
