Tracey’s complete credits span over 140 productions internationally, directing, choreographing and performing. Her recent directing credits include: Venus in Fur (ATP), the new adaptation of Jane Eyre, The Penelopiad, The 39 Steps (RMTC), the U.S. National Tour of Queen’s We Will Rock You and it’s Toronto’s Panasonic Theatre production, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Wizard of Oz, Snow White and 007, (Ross Petty). She was Associate Director for We Will Rock You (South Africa/New Zealand/Asia) and Resident Director for both Once (Mirvish) and War Horse (National Theatre/Mirvish). Direction/choreography: Hairspray (Rainbow Stage/Mayfield), staging/ choreography West Side Story (Vancouver Opera), The Drowsy Chaperone (TC/MTC), choreography for Kiss Me Kate and Evita, and re-conception of King of Thieves (The Stratford Festival). Jeffrey Huard’s conducting career embraces the worlds of opera, music theatre and the concert stage. His credits include SHOWBOAT (Toronto, New York, London, Sydney), THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (Broadway,Toronto, Singapore), KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN (Broadway,Toronto,London), SUNSET BOULEVARD (Toronto), RAGTIME (Toronto, Los Angeles, New York) and SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS (Broadway). He currently maintains an active vocal coaching studio in San Diego.

Scott is very excited to be returning for the 2015 season! For Rainbow, Scott has designed the lighting for 21 productions in 13 years. Having recently graduated from the University of Alberta, with a Masters in theatre design, Jamie Plummer is thrilled to be working in Winnipeg. Since returning home she has had the fortunate opportunity to design shows for theatres that inspired and nurtured her passion growing up. Leslie is thrilled to return to the beautiful Rainbow Stage as Assistant Stage Manager for West Side Story and Sister Act after ten seasons, fifteen shows, and one surprise engagement. She is also fortunate to regularly hideout in the wings at RMTC and PTE. Much love to Sean, who will almost certainly get to see her at some point this summer.

Heidi Malazdrewich is a Winnipeg based director. In the 2014/15 Theatre Season she directed The New Canadian Kid (MTYP) and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (RMTC/MBA). Favorite credits include directing the world premier of Alix Sobler’s The
Secret Annex (RMTC). She teaches at the University of Winnipeg and holds an MFA in directing from the University of Calgary.

Paul is thrilled to be MD is residence for the 2015 season, and is especially excited to be on the podium for Sister Act. Kristen last appeared with the Rainbow Stage in The King and I. She graduated from Ryerson University (TheatreDance) and her choreography has been performed on stages across North America and Internationally. Katherine is a graduate of the University of Winnipeg with a B.A. in Theatre Production and Stage Management. She is delighted to once again be working with her mentor, Scott Henderson and the team at Rainbow Stage. Previous credits: The Killing Game, St. Carmen of the Main and Enchanted April (U of W).
Set Designer in Residence
Sean started his theatrical career at the University of Winnipeg, then went on to complete a Master of Fine Arts at the University of Alberta in sets, lighting, and costume design. Based in Winnipeg, MB, Sean is a member of the ADC, and has been thrilled to be behind the scenes at Rainbow Stage this summer.

Winnipeg-born Brittany Hunter is beyond excited to be back for her 9th season with Rainbow Stage playing the role of, Jet’s wannabe, Anybody’s. Selected past Rainbow credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamboat, The Sound of Music, Peter Pan and Beauty and the Beast. Brittany is a graduate of the Theatre Arts program at Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton. Since graduating in 2011 she has had the opportunity to travel on various tours across North America in lead roles such as DeeDee Doodle in the Doodlebops and Strawberry Shortcake in Follow Your Berry Own Beat (Koba Entertainment). Quinn is thrilled to be performing in his first production at Rainbow Stage. He trained with Alberta Ballet and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet before pursing musical theatre, which he is currently studying at Otterbein University in Ohio. Quinn would like to thank his Grandma, Estelle Cummings, for her scrumptious meals and for housing him during the production process.

She teaches yoga and meditation and coaches individuals who wish to carry the peace and balance of their yoga practice into everyday life. Alison grew up in Victoria BC and attended the Canadian College of PA. She moved to Vancouver to perform with the Vancouver Opera in their production of West Side Story. Alison then completed a year of the Intensive Training Program at Harbour Dance. Reece is ecstatic to be making his professional theatre debut with such a prolific piece as West Side Story. In April, he was among the first graduating class in Canada to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Theatre from Sheridan Institute. Past credits include Hello, Dolly! (Ambrose Kemper), Parade (Luther Rosser), and Godspell (Jefferey) for Theatre Sheridan, as well as We Are Canadian, Soul of the Island, and Les Feux Follets with the Charlottetown Festival’s Young Company.
Nathan is thrilled to be making his Rainbow Stage debut with West Side Story. A Vancouver native, Nathan will be entering his second year in Sheridan College’s Music Theatre Performance program this fall. Heather’s first introduction to West Side Story was seeing it on this very stage in 2002. Shortly thereafter, she trained at the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, which lead her towards a career on the stage herself.
