Kathryn is thrilled to be back at Rainbow Stage this summer having previously worked on A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline, Forever Plaid and The Full Monty. Some of her other favourite theatre credits include Matilda and Shakespeare In Love (RMTC and Citadel), Once (Citadel), Bridges of Madison County (Dry Cold), Mary Poppins, The Last Resort and The Drowsy Chaperone (Globe Theatre), How The Heavens Go and The Brink (PTE), as well as 19 productions with Manitoba Opera and 7 trips around rural Manitoba with RMTC’s Regional Tour. She hopes you are having a fabulous summer and that you enjoy the show!

Angela Marshall

Assistant Stage Manager

Angela is excited to be making her Rainbow Stage debut. Selected Credits Include: Orpheus Descending, A Christmas Carol and Trying (RMTC), Misery (The Grand Theatre), Home & Away (Theatre Orangeville), The All Night Strut (Stirling Festival), and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) (Neptune Theatre). Other ASM credits include: 18 Seasons with the Stratford Festival, The Globe Theatre, Theatre New Brunswick, Neptune Theatre, Factory Theatre, Mirvish Productions and Theatre Orangeville. Angela would like to thank her family and friends for all of their love and support.

Katie Schmidt

Apprentice Stage Manager

Katie Schmidt is a graduate of the U of W Theatre and Film program. Musicals have always been a passion of hers and she is super excited to be working with Rainbow Stage on Strike! The Musical. Recent Apprentice Stage Manager credits include A Doll’s House (RMTC), Still/Falling Tour (MTYP), and Sense and Sensibility (RMTC). While she loves stage managing, you can usually find Katie behind her sewing machine, building props, or binge-watching the newest comic-book-turned-tv-show and cuddling with her cat. Thanks and Love to Mom, Dad, Raya, and Moosie.




Donna Sharpe is thrilled to be spending her summer in Winnipeg with good friends, and stage managing this production of Cinderella. Donna enjoys working in musical theatre, opera and new works creation. Favorite production credits include Rigoletto, Tosca, The Marriage of Figaro, Silent Night, Moby-Dick, Carmen, Magic Flute, Gianni Schicchi, Madame Butterfly, Die tote Stadt, Falstaff, Aida, Otello (Calgary Opera), South Pacific, Mikado, Candide, Pirates of Penzance (Opera in the Village), Million Dollar Quartet (Stage West Calgary), What Gives (Lunchbox Theatre) Chamber Werx, No One’s Safe (Banff Centre), Jukebox Hero (Alberta Tour), Ghost Opera (The Old Trouts Puppet Workshop). Donna also enjoys working with Young Artist Programs for Directors, Artists, and Stage Managers, and teaching in the field of Women’s Health.



Ali is excited to be back under the dome for her 10th Rainbow Stage Production with the fantastic Company of Cinderella! Select credits include: Beauty and the Beast, Mamma Mia!, Little Shop of Horrors, Shrek: The Musical, Sister Act, The Little Mermaid, The Producers, Mary Poppins (Rainbow Stage); A Chorus Line (WSO/Rainbow); Happy Place, Prairie Nurse, Mission: Munschpossible (PTE); American Idiot: The Musical (WST); Danny & The Deep Blue Sea (The Keep); Morning After Grace, Kill Me Now (RMTC); Seminar (RMTC/Mirvish); Of Mice and Men (Manitoba Opera); Tribes, Another Way Home (WJT); Sister Act (Drayton Entertainment). Much love to Mom and Dad, and especially Paul; I can’t believe he found a glass slipper that fit these size 10’s!



Ryan is jazzed to be back at Rainbow Stage this summer as an ASM! Ryan worked as an apprentice for Little Shop of Horrors and Beauty and the Beast. Since last summer, Ryan has stage managed After Jerusalem, Intimate Apparel and Becoming Dr. Ruth with WJT, and was the ASM for The RWB’s Wizard of Oz and Nutcracker. He’s previously worked as an apprentice with RMTC and Manitoba Opera. He trained with the Black Hole Theatre Company at the University of Manitoba. Ryan would like to thank all the stage managers he’s worked with as an apprentice; without their continuing guidance and support, he wouldn’t be here. Shout out to Amy, Brandon, Syd and the family for their endless support!



Katie Hoppa is thrilled to be joining Rainbow Stage for the first time with Cinderella this season as an Apprentice Stage Manager. Katie is a soon to be graduate of the University of Winnipeg’s Theatre and Film program, specializing in production and stage management. Some of Katie’s recent productions include: Intimate Apparel (App. SM) with the Winnipeg Jewish Theatre, Stripped Down Romeo & Juliet (SM) and Timon of Athens (App. SM) with Shakespeare in the Ruins, Reefer Madness (App. SM) with Winnipeg Studio Theatre and Three Penny Opera (Asst. SM) with Sick & Twisted Theatre and AA Battery Theatre.
