Carson Nattrass

Director

Carson is the Artistic Director of Rainbow Stage. Director: Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash, A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline, Footloose (Rainbow Stage), James and the Giant Peach (MTYP), Catalpa, To the Country (The Keep), Director’s Workshop Presentation (Stratford Festival). As an actor, Carson has performed in Winnipeg for Rainbow Stage, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Prairie Theatre Exchange, Shakespeare in the Ruins, Dry Cold Productions, White Rabbit, Winnipeg Jewish Theatre, Danny Schur Productions, Theatre Projects Manitoba and Manitoba Theatre for Young People. Across Canada: Mirvish, National Arts Centre, London Grand, Belfry, Citadel, Catalyst, Free Will, Theatre Calgary, Ground Zero, Lunchbox, Regina Globe, Persephone, Magnus, Theatre Orangeville, Talk is Free and Festival Antigonish. Carson is a graduate of the BFA Acting Program at the University of Alberta, and the Michael Langham Workshop for Classical Direction at the Stratford Festival of Canada. Sam Manchulenko

Choreographer

Sam is grateful to be choreographing her third show for Rainbow Stage. Previous choreography credits: Strike and Beauty and the Beast. Select performance credits include Sheila in A Chorus Line (WSO); Mary Poppins, West Side Story, Chicago and Joseph (Rainbow Stage); Guys and Dolls, White Christmas (RMTC) and two seasons with the Charlottetown Festival. Select film credits include Suicide Squad, and Shall We Dance. She has choreographed for Talk is Free Theatre in Ontario (Napoleon, Bye Bye Birdie, Emily), Celebrations, Chai Folk Ensemble, the Confederation Center Young Company in Charlottetown and was assistant choreographer for Shrek The Musical (Rainbow Stage). Sam is a passionate yoga and meditation instructor who leads yoga teacher trainings and self-discovery workshops in Winnipeg. samtheyogi.com

Danny Carroll

Music Director, Conductor

Danny worked at Rainbow as combinations of rehearsal pianist and playing in the pit orchestra from 1993 – 2005, 2015-16, and as Music Director for 2018’s Breaking Up is Hard to Do. He was inducted into the Rainbow Stage Wall of Fame in 2014.
