Scott is excited to be back at Rainbow Stage for the summer of 2018. Now in his 19th season designing for Rainbow, Scott has lit 28 Rainbow Stage productions including Beauty and the Beast (2009), Rent (2010), West Side Story (2002, 2015), Les Miserables (2015) and Mamma Mia (2017). Scott is a member of the Associated Designers of Canada and a graduate of Ryerson Theatre School. Special thanks to Karen, Sean and Alex for their love and support.

Ksenia Broda-Milian

Set, Props & Costume Design

Ksenia is happy to return to Rainbow, where she was set and costume designer for Cash: Ring of Fire, and set design apprentice for two seasons. This season her work was seen in Stage Frights (True North & One Trunk), Heavenly Bodies (Happy/Accidents), Frankenstein (UWinnipeg), New Beginnings (Sarasvàti), and Armstrong’s War (Western Canada Theatre, Kamloops). Ksenia is a member of the Associated Designers of Canada, a graduate of the University of Alberta and University of Winnipeg, and trained with Off the Wall Artist’s Alliance, Ghost River Theatre, Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, and Creative Manitoba. With experience training in, performing, and teaching musical theatre and dance, Ksenia is intrigued by design’s interaction with movement, and is always excited to work on a musical! Emily Porter

Sound Design

Emily Porter is an ADC sound designer/engineer who has worked on theatrical projects across Canada and the US. She is the owner of Dual Audio Services. For Rainbow Stage: Mamma Mia, Little Shop of Horrors, Shrek The Musical. Other credits include: Mama Mia, Mary Poppins, Into the Woods (Neptune Theatre); Brighton Beach Memoirs, The Jazz Singer, Kindertransport, Sister Rosensweig (Harold Green Jewish Theatre), Footloose (Sheridan College), Jacob Two Two (Young People’s Theatre); Apocalypsis (Associate SD, Luminato); On the Rocks, The Way Back to Thursday (Theatre Passe Muraille); The Arsonists, ‘Art’ (Canadian Stage); Bloodless (Theatre20); Love From Afar (COC); St Carmen of the Main (NAC/Canadian Stage); The Admirable Crichton (Shaw Festival).

Brian Perchaluk

SET & PROPS DESIGN

Brian is happy to be designing the set for Beauty and the Beast, his eighth production for Rainbow Stage. Recent Rainbow Stage credits include Les Misérables, and Mamma Mia! Brian’s work has been featured on stages across the country, in the US, and Europe. He is a graduate of the University of Winnipeg and the National Theatre School of Canada, and the recipient of Gemini, Jesse Richardson, Winnipeg Theatre, and Prix Rideau awards for his work.

Nancy Puttaert

COSTUME CO-ORDINATOR

Nancy is thrilled to once again be part of the creative team for Rainbow Stage. She has acted as Costume Coordinator for Rainbow’s productions of Annie (2013), Little Mermaid (2014), Sister Act (2015), and Shrek (2016). In addition, Nancy has been a proud member of I.A.T.S.E. Local 63 for 33 years, and a strong supporter of Winnipeg’s local theatre community. She looks forward to all of the challenges and rewards that coordinating Beauty and the Beast will bring, and to working with such a talented creative team, cast, and crew.

Christian Hadley

SPECIAL EFFECTS MAKE UP AND PROSTHETICS DESIGN

Christian is honored and thrilled to be part of the creative team for Beauty and the Beast. A former student of the University of Winnipeg, and coming up on 20 years of working in the Winnipeg theatre community in many capacities, Christian has loved getting the opportunity to create and fabricate the amazing characters in this timeless story. He is also a member of I.A.T.S.E. local 63 and the creator and founder of Post Mortem Productions, a special effects makeup and prop fabrication company. Select credits include; Evil Dead The Musical (Wasteland Productions); The Addams Family (Dry Cold Productions); La Boheme, Falstaff (Manitoba Opera) and Macabre Tales (Puppy in Pants Productions).
