Got A Question?
Frequently Asked Questions & Answers
Minimum group ticket orders is 14 or more seats.
- At this time we don’t offer a discounted seating rate for children in this section. Everyone has to pay the regular price.
Can I bring children? Do I need to buy a ticket for my baby?
Rainbow Stage follows the standard theatre policy of no babes in arms. We don’t recommend patrons bring children under age three. We ask patrons who are considering bringing younger children to any performance, ask themselves these questions:
- Is the child able to sit through a full length movie without getting up to move around?
- How does the child deal with elements such as heat/humidity, bugs, large crowds, loud music.
Any children causing disruption to the cast, crew or other patrons, may – along with their guardians – be asked to leave the theatre. Everyone entering Rainbow Stage must purchase a ticket.
Please consider asking our box office staff about Relaxed Performances – these are an excellent alternative to the regular expectation of theatre etiquette and are ideal for all patrons who feel more comfortable with a relaxed environment.
*please note that families bringing young children may have their seats moved to a location in the theatre where it is easier to exit if necessary*
Outdoor Musical Theatre In The Park
Nothing is better in summer than relaxing in the park or watching the river flow unless you can combine it with great theatre. Our unique setting is one of kind for Winnipeg, break away from your fast paced city day and enjoy the park setting before sitting down and being entertained. Plan a picnic or take a short walk before the show and let the fresh air clear your mind as you get ready for the first act. Experience the open air environment of Rainbow Stage, protected from the elements under the white dome in the scenic atmosphere of Kildonan Park, a summer must see each and every year!
All patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the theatre. This policy applies to everyone, including children and infants. No babes in arms permitted.
Children Under 3 Years of Age
When bringing children under 3 years of age to the theatre please consider whether they will be comfortable for the duration of the show. We respectfully request that all patrons bringing children to a performance consider fellow theatregoers and whether their children are of an appropriate age to appreciate the joys of live theatre.
No Cameras & Recording Devices
Due to union regulations, using recording devices of any kind is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Cameras and other recording devices will be confiscated if used during a performance.
No Food & Beverages
Bringing outside food & beverages is strictly prohibited. For your enjoyment, concessions are open before the show starts and during intermission.
Will be seated at a suitable break in the performance.
The Rainbow Stage parking lot is located on the east side of the theatre. Parking attendants will guide you in and help you park as well as guide you out after the show.
We allow seating for disabled and one buddy seat for a companion. We will do our best to seat the remainder of the party close to the wheelchair section as possible. If the disabled person is not in a wheelchair but has mobility issues, we suggest you sit in row 14 on either side or row 13 in the center as there are no steps to get to that area.
