Ann’s career in theatre began at Rainbow, and she was thrilled to return to direct Mary Poppins and The Little Mermaid. Directing credits include Manitoba Theatre Centre, Manitoba Opera, Prairie Theatre Exchange, The Musical Theatre Company, Theatre Projects, Dry Cold, Drayton, Great Canadian Theatre Co, Blyth, Persephone, Shaw, and many opera companies. Ann is a graduate of the National Theatre School. Anthony is excited to return to Rainbow Stage this summer after conducting Shrek last summer! Anthony has over 150 productions to his credit including: Joseph (Drayton Entertainment); Mary Poppins (Globe Theatre, Regina); Jesus Christ Superstar and The Wedding Singer (Hart House); Spelling Bee (Grand Theatre, London. ON), Godspell (Sheridan College), 13 seasons with Stage West Theatre includes 40 productions such as Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, Cabaret, Fiddler On The Roof, Tick Tick Boom, Songs For A New World, Title of Show (Angelwalk Theatre); Myths And Hymns (Talk Is Free Theatre); Seussical (Theatre Aquarius). As a composer, Anthony has written music for Rob Ford The Musical (Toronto), Not In My Backyard (Port Stanley Festival Theatre); Nursery School Musical (performances in Toronto and Houston); The Decameron (Toronto Workshop); award-winning Fringe show I’m Right Here (best musical by Broadwayworld.com). His versatility as a musician has brought him opportunities to work with pop celebrities such as Chantel Kreviazuk, Dan Hill and Josh Groban as well as theatre icons Andrea Martin and Michael Burgess. He is currently on faculty at the Sheridan College Music Theatre Performance Program and is the artistic director of Voices Rock Canada.

Scott is excited to be at Rainbow Stage for the summer of 2017. Now in his 18th season designing for Rainbow, Scott has lit 26 Rainbow Stage productions. Most recently, he designed the lighting for the WJT production of The Whipping Man and Sara Ballenden for MTC. Scott is a member of the Associated Designers of Canada and a graduate of Ryerson Theatre School. Special thanks to Karen, Sean and Alex for their love and support.
Brian is pleased to be designing the sets for “Mama Mia!”. This is his seventh production for Rainbow Stage, previously designing the sets for “Brigadoon”, “Oklahoma”, “The Sound of Music”, “The Music Man”, “The Little Mermaid”, and “Les Miserables”.
Brian’s work has been featured on stages across the country, in Europe and the USA. He is a graduate of the U of W and the National theatre School of Canada, and the recipient of a Gemini Award, a Jessie Richardson Award, and a Prix Rideau Award for outstanding set design.
Emily is a sound designer/engineer and owner of Dual Audio Services. Melissa is thrilled to be back in the park again this summer. Michael is happy to be back at Rainbow Stage, having previously worked on Les Miserables, Annie, and Cats. Other recent credits include: Romeo & Juliet (SIR), The Birds and the Bees (PTE), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, Hand to God (RMTC) and Am I Not King? (zone41). Mike is a graduate of the U of W, with a B.A. (Hon) in Stage Management & Production.
Apprentice Stage Manager
This is Laura Gow’s first production with Rainbow Stage. Laura is a composer and stage manager from Winnipeg who recently completed her B. Mus. (Composition) at the University of Manitoba’s Desautels Faculty of Music. She has worked on the stage management team for the U of M Opera Theatre Ensemble, Little Opera Company, and Manitoba Underground Opera, becoming Director of Production for the latter. Laura has also recently written a short opera, titled Morgues & Meows, which was performed as part of the 2017 Winnipeg New Music Festival.
Ma-Anne Dionisio is best known for her role as “Kim” in the Toronto premiere production of Miss Saigon. Some of her other credits include “Kim ” in Miss Saigon in Australia and the UK, “Eponine” in the International and US touring productions of Les Miserables, “Bertrande” in London’s West End production of Martin Guerre, and “Maria” in Stratford Festival’s West Side Story.
Olivia is a graduate of Sheridan’s Musical Theatre Performance Degree Program. She’s so grateful and excited to be performing in Mamma Mia! Jennifer has played dramatic, comedic and musical leading roles all across Canada. Highlights in Winnipeg include Mrs. Wilkinson in Billy Elliot, Diana Goodman in Next to Normal, Pam in Myth of the Ostrich (RMTC), plus Rainbow roles: Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Velma Von Tussel in Hairspray, and Lina Lamont in Singing in the Rain. She is trilled to be part of this magnificent cast. For my Amanda.
Kevin most recently appeared in The Addams Family (Dry Cold Productions), Stars of David (Winnipeg Jewish Theatre), and Les Miserables (Rainbow Stage). He also directed Forever Plaid for Rainbow Stage in 2008. Select theatre credits include the Canadian Premiere of Miss Saigon, the Canadian National Tour of Les Miserables, Forever Plaid in both Toronto and Vancouver, and Big the Musical (Rainbow Stage). He has also traveled the US and Scotland as the lead singer in Celticfusion, a Celtic rock musical.
Originally from Newfoundland, Clint began his performance career as a vocalist in the American cruise industry. This is his Rainbow Stage debut. This is Arne’s first show at Rainbow Stage. Last season he performed in Black Coffee and 23.5 Hours for RMTC, The Last Concert of Richard II with Royal Canoe; produced by Zone 41, and petites danses presented by Gear Shifting Performance Works. He also directed Sargent and Victor and Me for Sick + Twisted/Theatre Projects Manitoba, Lame Is… for Sick + Twisted, and is working on the development of Embargo with One Trunk Theatre, Crazy Bone for TPM, and a dance/theatre piece with Company Link.
Drew Plummer is thrilled to be making his Rainbow Stage debut in Mamma Mia! A recent Sheridan College graduate, Drew’s Theatre Sheridan credits include playing Ren McCormack in Footloose and Eddie Birdlace in Dogfight. This past summer, Drew had the pleasure of performing in the Charlottetown Festival’s Young Company, sharing his love for performing with his fellow Canadians. Lots of love to Bruce and the Talent House team!
Andrea is a Winnipeg-based actor, improviser and producer. Theatre credits include Les Miserables (Rainbow), Kill Me Now, The Glass Menagerie, The Penelopiad (RMTC), Beautiful Man (TPM), Mr Burns: A post-electric play (DTC), Sunday in the Park With George (Galleryworks), James and the Giant Peach (MTYP). Film/TV credits include My Awkward Sexual Adventure, Stegman Is Dead, The Pinkertons, Wingin’ It, Radius, Steel, Blood Pressure, Men With Brooms. Andrea is a founding member of the local musical improv company, Outside Joke.

Jesse is an actor and fiddler from London, Ontario who made his Rainbow Stage debut in last season’s Ring Of Fire. He is a recurring company member at the Victoria Playhouse Petrolia since 2012 including five headlining productions. Jesse has performed at venues such as the Stratford Festival, Drayton Entertainment, America’s Got Talent, and the Beijing Olympic Stadium. Enjoy the show!
Rebekah is delighted to be spending another summer at Rainbow Stage. Past Rainbow Stage credits include Shrek the Musical, Les Miserables, and The Wizard of Oz. She also appeared in Billy Elliot: The Musical (RMTC) and in 2014 attended the Rainbow Stage Conservatory Actor’s Intensive. Rebekah has choreographed for Celebrations Dinner Theatre and Koba Entertainment as well as apprenticed with Winnipeg Studio Theatre and Dry Cold Productions.
Toronto based Singer/Actor/Dancer originally from Grande Prairie, Alberta. His professional career has taken him all over North America, everywhere from Vancouver to Halifax, NYC and Los Angeles. Grant is very grateful to everyone who has supported him throughout his journey and would like to dedicate the performances of Mamma Mia! to his Father who is no longer with him.
Tyler is thrilled to be returning to Rainbow Stage in this production of Mamma Mia! Tyler’s love of musical theatre began in 2008 at the age of 9 during his summer in Rainbow’s production of Peter Pan. Other credits include Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Rainbow Stage) Heathers The Musical (WST), and A Christmas Story (RMTC). Tyler has trained in dance and musical theatre at Ken Peter Dance Express for 10 years, and has studied voice with Donna Fletcher for 3 years.
Lia made her Rainbow Stage debut last season in Shrek, and is excited to be a part of the Rainbow team again. Her training includes: Royal Winnipeg Ballet, School of Alberta Ballet, Boston Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and currently, Shelley Shearer School of Dance. Sarah is thrilled to be back at Rainbow, appearing earlier this season in South Pacific. Credits include: The Sound of Music, Joseph & the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (Rainbow Stage); Bridges of Madison County (Dry Cold); Fallstaff, Werther (Manitoba Opera); The Snowman and the Bear, 2015/16 Open House (WSO). Sarah, a 3rd year voice student at the U of M Faculty of Music, trains with the amazing Donna Fletcher. She is the recipient of the 2017 Tudor Bowl and G&S Trophy at the Wpg. Music Festival. Sarah is an alumnus of the Shelley Shearer School of Dance.
Sophie is excited to make her Rainbow Stage debut in Mamma Mia! She recently graduated from the Sheridan College Bachelor of Musical Theatre program. Her performing credits include How To Succeed, Footloose, Shrek, Damn Yankees (Sheridan), West Side Story and A Tribute to FOSSE (Etobicoke School of the Arts). Sophie is the co-founder of the Oakville based youth musical theatre company Innovative Arts, where she choreographs, directs and teaches.
After appearing in Sister Act and Shrek: The Musical, Brett is overjoyed to be returning for another summer in Kildonan Park!
Brett is a company member with Winnipeg’s Contemporary Dancers and a spin instructor at Saikel Indoor Cycling Studio. He has performed with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, The Little Opera Company, and the Winnipeg Fringe Festival. He would like to thank his family for their continued support and he hopes you enjoy the show!
Catherine grew up in Winnipeg and has performed at the Stratford Festival and played the leading role in many Broadway shows in New York and on tour. She moved to Los Angeles where she ran a mortgage company and became a nurse. In 2013, she was diagnosed with brain cancer. She had an awake craniotomy, radiation and 4 kinds of chemo. She is happy to be home and doing what she loves best which includes teaching musical theatre at Shelley Shearer School of Dance! She has two amazing kids and an awesome husband.
