Thanks to our wonderful Board of Directors for their thoughtful leadership and governance. To my extremely wonderful and patient family, you guys rock!
There are a few quotes that I use frequently; “you never know what you don’t know until you don’t know it” (never be afraid to find the answers, ask the questions); the definition of insanity “doing the same thing you have always done and expecting different results” (improve but not for the sake of change) and most important Be Happy!

Jeffrey has always considered Rainbow Stage his home away from home – and there truly is ‘no place like home’. Jeffrey started out with Rainbow Stage as a performer, appearing in 17 productions from 1998-2012. Some of his most memorable performances include: ‘Scarecrow’ in The Wizard Of Oz, ‘Rueben’ in Joe’s Dreamcoat, and ‘Ethan’ in The Full Monty. Following his last performance in Mary Poppins he has been serving the company in various capacities. He joined the 60th anniversary committee in 2014 to co-ordinate the Alumni Picnic, the fundraising committee to co-ordinate Encore 2015: Capture The Experience and for the past three years he has been co-ordinating and developing Educational programming such as the Musical Theatre Conference: Student Edition, The Actor’s Intensive, Camp Rainbow and various other community workshops and classes. Jeffrey is honored to now be a full-time staff in this new dual role and looks forward to bringing his experience, skills, energy and enthusiasm to the job!

Kayla has been a part of the dance community since 1990 working as a student, instructor/choreographer and studio manager. Throughout her years as a performer she’s travelled far and wide for competition; including traveling to Germany in 2007 where she won a Gold medal with Canada’s Tap Team. Upon arriving back home, she was awarded the City of Winnipeg Medal of Achievement. Recently, Kayla has acted as the Festival Coordinator for the Steinbach Summer in the City Festival and as the Event Coordinator for the Steinbach Arts Council. Graduating with honours from RRC’s Business Administration program in 2008, she now lives in rural Manitoba with her two daughters.

Jessica’s love for theatre started early when she first started taking a drama course in high school. Working mainly in customer service she realized her true love was helping out behind the scenes of theatre productions and helping with the day to day administration of everything theatre. Her love for musicals started at a young age when she first saw Beauty and the Beast and has grown ever since.

Jeff is a life long Winnipegger with a great appreciation for what makes our city special. While putting a “things to do” list together when visitors come to town in the summertime Rainbow Stage is a mandatory attraction. It’s a tradition that goes back in his family and one that he intends to encourage future generations to foster. Establishing and nurturing warm relationships is something Jeff values greatly, and that in large part is his role as Development Officer with Rainbow Stage. Getting to know people has been a passion for years as a former radio personality who now uses his talent as a communicator to share his passion about an organization he’s deeply proud to represent.

Front Of House Manager (seasonal position)

Kat has had a love of theatre her whole life but it really took over when she started university and joined the Black Hole Theatre Company. During her time there she has acted, directed, designed, and worked behind the scenes in production and the administration of the company. Currently she is finishing up her degree at the University of Manitoba in Theatre and Classical Studies. She also has a deep love for animals, especially of the reptilian variety. In addition, she has worked in the Rainbow Stage Box Office the past two summers and is happy to once again call Rainbow Stage her home, this time as Front of House Manager. She is proud to be a part of keeping the Winnipeg summer tradition of outdoor musical theatre alive and well!

Richard Roskosz

Richard is a native Winnipegger, born, raised, educated and employed. A graduate of St. John’s High and the University of Winnipeg, Richard is a lifelong fan of Rainbow Stage, and many years ago played a tree in a junior production of Rumpelstilskin (and was the best tree an audience ever did see…). Post-stage career, he has spent 40 years in accounting and finance, contributing professionally to business and non-profit organizations at all levels. Richard is a strong believer in all things family, and is devoted husband to Valerie, father to Evan, and grandfather to Adelynn. He enjoys winter vacations in the Caribbean or Mexico and spends part of the summer at one of Manitoba’s outstanding lakes. When time allows, he keeps fit by cycling, swimming, and snorkelling.
