After 15 years as an internationally acclaimed high profile actor, dancer and singer, Rainbow Stage Artistic Director Ray Hogg decided to focus his creative energy as a director and choreographer. He has staged pieces for two European & World tours for CORPUS Dance Projects, at Sheridan College (Chicago, Damn Yankees), Toronto’s Bluma Appel Theatre (The Death of Enkidu), Winnipeg’s Rainbow Stage (Cats, The Buddy Holly Story, Producers, Sister Act), Drayton Entertainment’s Huron Country Playhouse & Drayton Festival Theatre (Guys & Dolls, Sweet Charity), The Stratford Festival’s Festival Theatre (A Grand Night For Stratford), and at the Shaw Festival’s Royal George Theatre & Festival Theatre (Come Back Little Sheba, Ragtime).

Heidi Malazdrewich is a Winnipeg based director. In the 2014/15 Theatre Season she directed The New Canadian Kid (MTYP) and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (RMTC/MBA). Favorite credits include directing the world premier of Alix Sobler’s The
Secret Annex (RMTC). She teaches at the University of Winnipeg and holds an MFA in directing from the University of Calgary.

Sean started his theatrical career at the University of Winnipeg, then went on to complete a Master of Fine Arts at the University of Alberta in sets, lighting, and costume design. Based in Winnipeg, MB, Sean is a member of the ADC, and has been thrilled to be behind the scenes at Rainbow Stage this summer.

Teri-Lynn is delighted to return to Rainbow Stage.  Recent directing credits include Peacock Place (Comedy Clownesque), It’s a Wonderful Life: The Radio Play (One88); Annie Jr (Masterworks Studio); Mary Poppins (apprentice- Rainbow Stage) and Late Company (apprentice, RMTC). Other highlights include co-creating Mother Mine for the Winnipeg Fringe and devising a piece for Nightwood Theatre’s Young Innovators Lab last fall.

Rachel is very excited to be the Apprentice Music Director for Rainbow Stage! Other current projects include working as Apprentice Music Director for Dry Cold Productions and Musical Directing Chess for the Winnipeg Fringe Festival this summer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Winnipeg and hopes to finish an ARCT Piano Performance diploma by 2016.

Reanna is a recent graduate of U of W’s Theatre Program and made her Rainbow Stage debut this season in West Side Story. In the fall, she will be off to work with Expect Theatre for their Beats+Intentions program in Toronto then will be back in Winnipeg to tour with MTYP’s Power of Harriet T. She is excited to be working on Sister Act and would like to thank St. Mary’s Academy for all of their inspiration for the show as well as her friends and family for all of their support.

Donna is a member of the Rainbow Stage Wall OF Fame and proud of her 29 year relationship with the theatre. Last seen in Buddy Holly and Mary Poppins, she has performed coast to coast at the National Arts Centre, Drayton Festival, Belfry Theatre, Charlottetown Festival, Persephone Theatre, Stage West Calgary, Theatre Calgary, MTC, PTE, Manitoba Opera, Sarasvati Theatre, Dry Cold and MTYP. As a director Donna’s favourite credits include The Addams Family, A Man of No Importance, Sweeney Todd, The Light in the Piazza and Nine (Dry Cold Productions), Brundibar (MCO) and Annie (Rainbow Stage). Donna is an instructor at the U of M Desautels Faculty of Music and the U of W Theatre Department and her favourite role of all time is being mum to Amalia Grace.  For James and my own wonderful mum and dad.

A seasoned performer, Aadin Church has had many career highlights that go beyond the parameters of his beginnings in Gospel music. He has performed in Broadway musicals like ‘Miss Saigon’, Disney’s ‘The Lion King’, ‘Dreamgirls’ and ‘Ragtime’ to name a few. He has also performed with Mariah Carey, Deborah Cox and the legendary Patti LaBelle. Aadin is pleased to return To Rainbow stage for a second time and is excited about being a part of such an awesome cast.

For over 40 years, Joanne Parker Gibson, a teacher for the Pembina Trails S.D, Balmoral Hall and the U of W Collegiate, has been a driving force for the establishment of Performing Arts in Education, enriching and inspiring the artistic lives of generations of students. Patricia was part of the Rainbow Stage companies of No No Nanette, My Fair Lady, Oklahoma, Brigadoon, and Desert Song. Thirty-five years later she is delighted to be back, in this production of Sister Act! She has appeared on all of Winnipeg’s stages. Some of her favourite experiences include Age of Arousal at Theatre Projects Manitoba, Good People at The Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Follies for Dry Cold Productions and Sexy Laundry at Prairie Theatre Exchange. Her resume also includes work in film, television and radio.

Ross is a seasoned Winnipeg actor who has worked in theatres across the country. Ross recently directed Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit in a mansion on West Gate.

A graduate of the Winnipeg School of Contemporary Dancers, Brett has performed work by Constance Cooke, Tedd Robinson, Paul-André Fortier, Darryl Tracy and Odette Heyn with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. In September he will appear in ‘Eclipse,’ a new dance show by Gaile Petursson-Hiley and he will join Winnipeg’s Contemporary Dancers under the direction of Brent Lott. Tyrell is thrilled to be returning to Rainbow Stage for his 12th production. He was last seen under the dome in West Side Story as Male Swing. Past favourite credits include: Mary Poppins (Theatre Aquarius), Anne of Green Gables, Evangeline, Canada Rocks (Charlottetown Festival), Anne of Green Gables (Theatre Calgary) and West Side Story (Vancouver Opera). Tyrell was also seen on screen in Hellcats (CW), Once Upon a Time (ABC) and Girl vs Monster (Disney). Tyrell would like to thank his family and friends, the TH crew, NM and to dedicate his performance to his #1 fan, the late GW.

This will be Melanie’s 3rd time playing a nun at Rainbow Stage, having played both Sister Margaretta and Sister Sophia in two subsequent productions of The Sound of Music.
