Teaching Artist for August

Paula is honoured to have a chance to give back to the Rainbow Stage community by being a part of Camp Rainbow for its very first summer in Kildonan Park. Her first performance at Rainbow Stage was ten years ago in The Wizard Of Oz and since then she has become a frequent and proud company member. Paula has appeared in six productions over the past four seasons, most notably as ‘Mary Poppins’ in Mary Poppins and ‘Fantine’ in Les Miserables. She recently performed in RMTC’s productions of Billy Elliot and Alice Through the Looking Glass, and will be appearing in White Rabbit Productions’ Songs for a New World at the Winnig Fringe Festival this July! Paula obtained her Bachelors degrees in Music and Education at the U of M, where she also studied voice with Tracy Dahl. She was the senior musical theatre teacher at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School for four years and has taught choir, drama, vocal jazz and musical theatre in the Louis Riel and Seven Oaks School Divisions.   Paula has also taught Contemporary Vocal Technique workshops for the Rainbow Stage Conservatory for the past two years and maintains a busy private voice studio of about 25 weekly students!
