Jeffrey is proud to assistant direct for Rainbow Stage on Ring Of Fire after spending many years performing under the dome. You may remember Jeffrey as ‘Scarecrow’ in Wizard Of Oz, ‘Reuben’ in Joseph’s Dreamcoat or ‘Ethan’ in The Full Monty. Other favourite performances include Crazy For You, Footloose, Chicago and Mary Poppins. This production marks the first time Jeffrey has been asked to join a creative team at Rainbow Stage and he could not be more excited to use his skill set to support the vision of his friend and mentor, Carson Nattrass. Jeffrey’s recent director and/or choreographer adventures include Grease (Glenlawn), Krummhorn Castle (White Rabbit), Bloodsuckers: The Musical (KTG), Guys and Dolls, Little Shop of Horrors (MDA), Burnin’ Love (PTE) and creating unique entertainment for corporate and charitable events with YPO, BOMA, and The Never Alone Foundation. These past two years, Jeffrey has been part of the Rainbow Stage office team, facilitating in education and outreach events and co-ordinating some of the budding Conservatory programs built by Artistic Director, Ray Hogg. These events include the 60th Anniversary Alumni Picnic, the Actor’s Intensive, Encore 2015: Capture The Experience, the 2016 Music Theatre Conference – Teen Edition and most recently Camp Rainbow. Jeffrey is so grateful to be part of the Rainbow family at large and eager to help build the next generation of theatre creators and goers out here in beautiful Kildonan Park. From when he was very young, Jeffrey was mentored by Ken Peter, who lovingly nicknamed him ‘Spatz’. Ken was his teacher, his inspirer, his friend and as Ken took the helm as Rainbow’s Executive Producer in 1998, he became Jeffrey’s mentor and employer. Jeffrey finds it so inspiring that many of the new initiatives he is involved with at Rainbow now are in line with the long-time dreams and visions Ken had for the theatre. Jeffrey would like to dedicate his work on this special year of activity at Rainbow Stage in Ken’s memory.
