Donna is a member of the Rainbow Stage Wall OF Fame and proud of her 29 year relationship with the theatre. Last seen in Sister Act, Buddy Holly and Mary Poppins, she has performed coast to coast at the National Arts Centre, Drayton Festival, Belfry Theatre, Charlottetown Festival, Persephone Theatre, Stage West Calgary, Theatre Calgary, MTC, PTE, Manitoba Opera, Sarasvati Theatre, Dry Cold and MTYP. As a director Donna’s favourite credits include The Addams Family, A Man of No Importance, Sweeney Todd, The Light in the Piazza and Nine (Dry Cold Productions), Brundibar (MCO) and Annie (Rainbow Stage). Donna is an instructor at the U of M Desautels Faculty of Music and the U of W Theatre Department and her favourite role of all time is being mum to Amalia Grace. For James and my own wonderful mum and dad.

Previous credits include Les Misérables, A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, and Miss Saigon (Rainbow Stage); Forever Plaid (Harbourfront Theatre and Rainbow Stage); CATS (Theatre Calgary and Rainbow Stage) The Gondoliers, The Mikado, Pirates of Penzance, and HMS Pinafore (Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Winnipeg). A graduate of Sherican College’s Musical Theatre Performance Program. Rochelle has spent the last 9 years performing as a lead vocalist in production shows on various cruise lines and now travels as a guest entertainer headliner with her trio group UniQue3.

Award winning singer/actor, Aaron Hutton is one of Manitoba’s foremost rising stars. A versatile performer with a résumé ranging from Baroque to Contemporary Musical Theatre, Aaron has become a sought after crossover artist. Being no stranger to the local arts scene, South Pacific marks Aaron’s thirteenth production with Rainbow Stage and his seventh engagement with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. Select stage performances include Pinocchio in Shrek:The Musical, Les Misérables, Robertson Ay in Mary Poppins, Footloose, and Rolf in The Sound of Music (Rainbow); Laurie in Little Women, Tobias in Sweeney Todd, and Fabrizio in The Light in the Piazza (Dry Cold Productions); Munsch Upon A Time (Prairie Theatre Exchange); and Princeton in Avenue Q (Winnipeg Studio Theatre). Previous concert performances include Schubert’s Mass in E-flat Major, Mendelssohn’s Second Symphony: Lobgesang and Mozart’s Mass in C Minor (Winnipeg Philharmonic/WSO); Mozart’s Requiem, Carmina Burana, Send in the Clowns: the music of Stephen Sondheim, and multiple performances in the Concerts for Kids and Adventures In Music concert series (WSO).

Stephanie’s professional career started at Rainbow Stage as Ngana in 1997’s production of South Pacific, and is feeling extreme nostalgia returning to the place where it all began. Since then she has performed all over North America, but is proudest and most grateful to call Winnipeg her home. She thanks this special community for their opportunities and the Sy family, committed audience members since Stephanie was two.

Ari is excited to be making his Rainbow Stage and WSO debut! He is currently the Artistic Director of Winnipeg Jewish Theatre (www.wjt.ca) and he will be directing the upcoming production of The Whipping Man. Simon is a local director, writer and actor with a Master’s degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Recent credits: Grasshopper in James and the Giant Peach; Hamilton in Butcher (Le Cercle Molière); Thénardier in Les Misérables, Scuttle in The Little Mermaid, Leo Bloom in The Producers (Rainbow Stage); Charles Condomine in Blithe Spirit (CowardFest); George in Sunday in the Park with George (SondeheimFest).

Ryan is thrilled to be making his Rainbow Stage debut in South Pacific. Going to Rainbow Stage has long been a tradition of Ryan’s family and performing in this show fulfills one of his lifelong dreams. Ryan has been making a name for himself working for some of the top theatre companies in Canada. On top of his many credits, Ryan is also a three-time Canadian Comedy Award nominee for his work with sketch comedy troupe, Hot Thespian Action. This one’s for the whole family.

Highlights: Tunny/American Idiot (Winnipeg Studio Theatre), Fairy Godmother/Blind Mouse/Shrek, Sister Mary Robert/Sister Act, Cosette/Les Misérables, Ariel/Disney’s The Little Mermaid and Katie Nana/Ensemble/Mary Poppins (Rainbow Stage), Jazz Soloist (Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra), Top 4/Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Over the Rainbow (CBC TV), Shprintze/Fiddler on the Roof (Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre), Nina/A Flicker of Light on a Holiday Night (Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra). She will also be appearing in Mamma Mia! this August with Rainbow Stage. Cuinn Joseph is making his Rainbow Stage debut in South Pacific in Concert. As a theatre student at the University of Manitoba, Joseph has performed with the Black Hole Theatre Company as well as his own amateur company in the Winnipeg Fringe Festival. Though his focus is primarily on musical composition, Joseph has been working as an actor and musician for 7 years at local events and festivals and plans to pursue performance more intently.

Currently in the Acting Honors Program at the University of Winnipeg, Duncan has a divine love for preforming. Recently, he has exercised this love by singing in the Winnipeg Youth Chorus and working as the musical director, guitarist, and a motivational speaker for the bullying prevention initiative Hateless Canada. This is Duncan’s first time acting on a professional stage and he is “redonkulously excited”.

Hannah is an emerging artist in Winnipeg who is currently halfway through the second year of her degree in classical voice at the University of Manitoba. Hannah has played many roles with Winnipeg Studioworks such as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown and Patrice in 13. Most recently, Hannah completed a run of The Seduction Theory in Winnipeg’s FemFest playing the role of Rebecca (Sarasvati Productions). Hannah is thrilled to be on stage doing what she loves alongside such an outstanding cast. Sending love to her parents and to Ari for their never ending support.

Jesse is an actor and fiddler from London, Ontario who thrilled audiences during his Rainbow Stage debut in last season’s smash hit Ring of Fire. He has become a recurring company member at the Victoria Playhouse Petrolia since 2012 including five headlining productions, and has performed at the Stratford Festival, Drayton Entertainment, America’s Got Talent, various venues in Nashville and the Claremont Folk Festival in California.
